Speech to Text software

I have to get some sort of speech to text software for one of my company's users, and I have no experience using that type of software.

I did some searching and Dragon NaturallySpeaking seems to be a popular choice. I want to know if anyone has any first hand knowledge of how well it does or does not work.

i took a class in it at the local JC. got to the point where it's
accurate some of the time. definitely benefits from a faster computer.

Vista has some voice capabilities, too.
