Do you? I've been a skeptic of that claim from day one, and have argued that point in another thread about AMD maximizing clocks with XFR and PBO.So you don't think the 3900x will OC to 5 GHz on AiO/water?
Besides, gaming performance is not all about clocks and cache sizes, otherwise the i9 99xx chips overclocked to 4.5GHz and beyond would be the gaming kings at present and they're not.
Edit: i9 99xx: I mean Intel's HEDT offerings like the i9 9980XE with it 24.75MB cache
