That is what he wants you to think ...

But what does he really want?!

Is he secretly trying to convert American corporations into delusionally paranoid constructs that devour and destroy all that might some day pose a threat to them?

Is his real goal to permanently end human cooperation and progress and bring about the extinction of the human race in an effort to insure ever increasing corporate profits?

How much fluoride did they put in your drinking water?

Dunno if this is confirmation that N32 isn't coming out any time soon, but Gigabyte is allegedly making a new 6800 XT model with their 6950 XT cooler.

Dunno how you got to that assumption from that random news tidbit.

It's likely GB is EOLing their older coolers and going forward with oversized ones, a-la every GPU from this generation so far, since nVidia basically opened the flood gates and normalized that since 3090Ti.

What a disgusting trend lol

Almost makes me interested in waterblocks going forward... if I wasn't so poor right now

I don't think we will see N32 in 1H of this year.
The question is If we will see It this year. :(
Silence. This, if true, can't have been originally planned.

Too much RDNA2 stock still available.
RDNA 3 really underperformed compared to expectations and is being corrected.

Maybe a mixture of the above, with the oversupply allowing time to correct flaws.

-Yeah, a 60 CU N22 is just gonna perform like a 6800 at this point. That or if whatever issues are fixed it's going to be nearly as fast as a 7900xt.

Can't release that as a 7800XT one way or another.

7800 XT will probably be close to 7900 XT for $700 just like the 6750 XT > 6800 situation. They’ll refresh Navi 31 with a 7950 XTX and EOL the 7900 XT most likely.

In what reality can 64CU gpu be close to the 84CU one?

According to this review:

Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Review | TechSpot

7900XT is 25% more performant than 6900XT at 4K (average 16 games - TPU has similar ratings). N32 has 71.4% of the CU of the 7900XT. So making an interpolation, with linear behaviour. at the same clock of the 7900XT N32 should have around 90% of the performance of the 6900XT. So it will depend on how high it will clock, it is very likely than top model of N32 will be clocked higher than the 7900XT and possibly even higher than the 7900XTX. At that point it would be basically a tie.

Yeah, my mistake :)
Then that assumption looks even more ridiculous.

This is correct, but my question was related to this specific assumption

My bad, I understood the question was "close to the 6900XT". For being close to the 7900XT, N32 should be clocked at 3GHz+, which I don't know if can be reachable. Or maybe it depends on the definition of "close".

The card that is barely faster than 6800XT? )
Even $500 tag won't save such a nonsense.
If I was "amd" I'd forget this nightmare asap an put all resources in rdna4.
If It had a $499 tag and at least 6800XT performance, then It would sell very well.
I would buy one for sure.
For 4070Ti Nvidia ask $799, and It has only 12GB Vram and performance only 20-25% better while costing 60% more.
ADA106 is not interesting with only 8GB Vram. Do you think 4070 would be much better ? The question is at what price. $649 and RTX 3080 performance? Is that also nonsense according to you?
N32 will be likely priced to not be great but also not be bad, end of story.

From the whole RDNA3 line-up, only N32 looks a bit promising If the pricing is right.

I see your point, and you're mostly right with regards to newly released products.
But against the AMD's previous gen $499 doesn't seem to have a tangible competitive advantage, which is of primary value to me.

RX6800XT had an MRSP of $649. N22 was between $479-549, so at $499 It would have a tangible advantage in perf/$.
Honestly, I don't believe It will be this cheap, $599 looks much more likely.
You won't get more value from Nvidia either. If you want value, then only Intel provides interesting options, but you can forget about absolute performance.

Why would it be any less than it's predecessor? Especially given current GPU pricing (if we are talking about a 7800XT). Sadly for AMD - NV has really made the whole AI and Ray-tracing branding stick as prominent checkboxes for GPU purchase considerations. Maybe that, and lagging sales, will keep the price down a bit.

N32 XTX is cheaper to produce than N21 XT.
