Looking at the performance and power consumption the card is good, it is faster than the 3060 that (NORMALLY) would be its direct comparison and it is faster than its predecessor, the RX5600XT.
As for the price, well, petty sure everyone knows what i was going to say, my question would be, is someone actually suprised by the price? Naming alone should tell you that you should compare it to the RX5600XT not the RX5700XT, this is not replacing the 5700XT, what makes things a lot worse.
With the GPU market being in a total disarray they are free to do whatever they want. And the MSRP increases started way before the pandemic and the mining craziness when they did the jump from Polaris to Navi.
BTW, i just saw that x8 thing WTH... they give Cezanne APU a x16 3.0 PCI-E upgrade so the new APU end up being better with dgpus than before, BUT, at the same time they push the x8 limit into the RX6600 cards, this is not even funny anymore.
