Owned and operated by Micron - I remember people telling me previously that Spectek modules were repaired/rebadged Micron 2nds. Is this true? What experiences have you had? Is it good, cheap memory now?

not that great,if you run at stock speeds it's ok.

But if you want to oc a little bit this ram is NOT for you.

Pay a few $$ more & get some crucial ram.

Nay! If you dont OC get Kingston, Crucial Micron has problems with nForce2 boards. If you are a OC'er get Corsair, 512MB PC2700 XMS for under $100! :)

I got a couple of sticks at the CompUSA deal that has the Spektek chips and they run fine at the advertised speed with the strongest timings. I have not tried overclokcing them. So, I say yes in my case since, they run at 266 at the strongest timings 100% stable.

I got a 256mb pc2100 PNY stick of this kind of RAM. Only going to end up paying $7 after rebates, so you can't go wrong for that price.
