Does anyone know how I can find out the what the maximum refresh rate is for a P991 UltraScan Trinitron monitor? I've tried Dell's site, Sony's, a couple of computer help sites all with no luck. I'm still having some flicker problems after updating the driver and moving the speakers away from the monitor.

I'm running it at 1024X768 with 16bit color and an 85Hz refresh rate. I can bump it up to 100 or higher through the settings on the adapter tab (NVIDIA GeForce) but get that generic warning that if I set it too high I could fry the monitor. So how do I know how hi I can set it before it blows?

If the refresh rate is too high will it just go black? Give me an "out of range" warning or what? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

I've had it up to 100 at 32bit color, but to me that's overkill. The colors also look a little funky to me.

Try 85, 32bit color, and 1024x768.

That's all it will do.

Cheers!
