And what do they shoot? .223?

They can be had for around $900.00

Most, but not all ARs are chambered for .223 and 5.56mm. 5.56mm is loaded hotter and the rifle needs to withstand the incresed pressure accordingly.

Nice setup, but I am not a fan of the price tags. I bought an SR15 out of Knights for a little more that had a similar a3 config with more toys

Then you got a hell of a deal.

Also, I have never heard of KAC selling their rifles to anyone but .mil and LEO. Maybe I am mistaken, or are you LEO?

Again, if you even got ONLY an SR15 for a littler more than $900, you probably ripped the person off a good grand or two.

Meh

You want to see the bill of sale?

Sure do.
You either have an airsoft or got down on your knees to get an AR15 with "more toys" for 900. You cant touch anything on an AR for under 100 bucks (barring small parts) and you cant get anything considered a "toy" for under probably 200. Even rail system will run you 250, up to 350 or more for full lengths. Lights? Fugetaboutit. 450 for a basic weapons light of decent quality. Lasers? Same boat. Oh, I suppose you could snag a bayonet on the cheap. But the real toys, the big boy toys? Nope. You could probably build one for around 9 if you shop hard and get good deals, but thats about it.
So, more to the point is what do you consider "toys" for an AR?

Third post after I posted my bill of sale "You have the rifle but what about the toys that came with it"

"And the toys?
I'm not saying you dont have the rifle. I'm saying your statement of having an AR and more toys for "just over" 900 is BS.
If you did ANYTHING worthwhile to that AR (Unless it came with it, which I doubt) then your well over 1500. "

What a hypocrite!

Fact of the matter is I've got a KMC SR15, thats NOT airsoft and I've got the pics/proof to back me up.

I TOLD you I got a kickass deal.

"Nice setup, but I am not a fan of the price tags. I bought an SR15 out of Knights for a little more that had a similar a3 config with more toys" - Thats your first post. And yet, NO MENTION of "toys" after that.

So, 900 vs 1400. "Little" more? And wheres the toys? Rail systems? (most likely those were included, probanly KAC rails?) How about lasers? Vertical grips? Tactical lights? Acogs? Trijicons? EoTechs? DO you even know what those things ARE?
Front BUIS? ANYTHING else?

PS: GUns your parents buy you dont count anyways, so why the fvck am I even argueing with you??

Well in something like 50 posts he hasnt mentioned it....... Just the fact he has a rifle. Good for him. If 50% more is a "little" mroe then god help us if he says he paid "alot" more for something!!

I belive I was quite clear I SOLD A SHITLOAD OF MAGS AT THE GUN SHOW, thus lowering my cost basis on the rifle by nearly $400.

Lasers/v-grips, I'm not big on. I'm not slapping on an ACOG/EOtech/Aimpoint because I considered making this my trunk gun, and I like the way its set up.

And if you knew anything about the sr15, it's got the RAS and BUIS standard.

Riposte

You were very clear you sold a bunch of mags. About 35 posts into the whole ordeal. Nothing like dragging your feet eh? So, you took a "dealer incentive" (mags) to cut the cost of the rifle then brag about the good deal (which it was) and "toys" and yet you have no toys on it.
Which is what I've been saying all along. Funny. I said you couldnt have gotten the rifle and toys for that. And you didnt. You got zero toys (unless you consider rails and BUIS toys) and I figured it came with the rail installed anyways seeing its a Knights rifle. Didnt know about the BUIS though.
So even with your great mag deal you STILL couldnt come close to 900 with some of the upper end toys.
Which is exactly what I've been saying ALL ALONG.
Hell, a Trijicon alone would damn near double the what you paid for it. Let alone a tactical light, vertical grip etc etc etc.

I consider 30 round mags toys, especially when I got that many of them.

You keep preaching that you can "put together" an AR for $900.

You can do far better than that if you're not picky. A complete lower with a 2 stage NM trigger from RRA will run around $200-300, a complete upper is easily $400 delivered.

J&T has uppers for 300.
I WIN!!
WINNAR!!
NEENER NEENER!!

Yeah, I know you can do it well under 900. You could do under 5 if you shop REAL hard and hit the for sale forums.

There wont be ownage. DMT thinks mags are toys, I think there essential. I think of toys as Trijons and lights.

We're both right. His rifle with his toys was a bit over 900.
My idea of a rifle with toys would be probably closer to 3 if you go with what DMT paid for the rifle.

Reminds me of the South Park episode where two nerds were arguing how many original episodes of the Star Trek there are.

Ehhhh....... I like my guns as much as everyone else and own my fair share. Having a thread for EVERYONE to show off their guns every once and a while is ok, but frankly im getting tired of seeings DMT's Attention Whoring Gun Threads........

"Look at me I bought a gun"
"Should I buy a shotgun or an AR for my trunk, even though I already keep 50 in my glovebox like a Physco"

Shit dude, if you want to post THAT MUCH about your super collection of guns go to a place like ARFCOM where thats what people talk about........ 1 or 2 post here everyonce and a while is ok here but YOU have had more than 10 in less than 2 months, can't you find anything else to talk about?
