Spec'ing out a Harpertown V8

when i heard that the Harpertown Xeon uses 80 watts,
that got my cash-register-ringing mood going.

this is the Harpertown i like, 2.33 GHz, 80 watts, $310
(the 2.66 & 2.83 GHz Harpertown's are 80 watts, too.)

why would people pay $90 more for SAS ? is that
SCSI attached Storage ? is that a fancy way of
saying it's got a fast SATA-ish hard drive bus
if you hook up to a disk array outside the computer ?

Tempest i5000XT (S2696)
is the Tyan official name/ model #.

Wow, that motherboard with 2 of those chips would make a nice rig...if you have pockets a lot deeper than mine are!
