Specifying network card by app

So here's a scenario for you...

I have a laptop that has a network card built in as well as a Wireless card. Each card goes to a different network that has different rules setup.

I'm looking for some way I can tell Firefox to use the Wired connection and have everything else use the Wireless connection.

Any way to do something like this?

THis is on Windows XP...

Thanks.

Well, from the people I've talked to and the info I've found online it seems this might not be possible. Moving this post to the Highly Technical forum to see if anyone has some other fancy ay to do this.

Yes it's possible. But circumventing security policies is frowned upon here.

Uhh, what are you talking about? Who's security policies am I circumventing?

I run our network so the only policies I'd be circumventing are my own....

well then just do it with routing...specify the LAN networks to go to the LAN interface.

then the only card that would have a default gateway.

while not really doing it by application, it is sending any networks not directly in your host routing table to the wireless/internet.

the command in windows is "route"
