Special Request: Need SB Audigy Drivers!!! Help!!!

I bought an Audigy Platinum from someone on this forum, and they forgot to send me the driver disk. Unfortunately, the driver on the Creative web site only works if you've previously used the one from the install disk (WHICH I DON'T HAVE!).

So, I would be very grateful to anyone who can either FTP the .iso of the driver disk or, PREFERABLY, zip up the .inf file (and whatever else I need to get this thing working) and send it to me.

Every time that I try to use the driver file (self-executing .exe) from the Creative web site, it says it can't find the card. I checked and it appears that you have to have the original CD before that file will work!

Creative is staring to tick me off with their driver mumbo jumbo!

I should be able to rip the ISO for you... Do you have CloneCD? If so, I can rip it in that format... I agree with you about the drivers not being on their website... I mean what happens if you scratch your disc? What happens if one did not come in the box? If I had the money I would bankrupt that company for its overarted PR and POS support... Let me know dude.

BTW, my CD was for the Xgamer... So I mean if will have the driver portion on the disc, but not the extra program and features... You will have to get a copy of that disc or the origional...


Stay cool man... and the sound card is awesome... But the support and PR sucks for that POS company... I cannot express enough my displeasure for the morons both working their and running the damn place.... <VENT!!!>

ArchAngel777-- you are right! It is a load of crap what Creative is doing now. I'm getting the disks from the guy who sold me the card but they won't show up for a few days and I need to get this thing running. If the download that John pointed me to doesn't work, I'll PM you and see if there is some way that I can get the necessary files from you.

There is NO way that I should have to do this! Does Creative think people can pirate sound cards or something? Absolutely RIDICULOUS decision!

John-- One thing, though. Did you ever use that set of drivers? For some reason, my rear speakers aren't working... oh well... I'll take what I can get for now.
