first four are from the game counter-strike. :D

Anyone know more about these special ops?

Also from the chechnyan crisis, people were saying how the Russian Spetznaz were scary?

What exactly do these special ops do? /makes them scary?

ask an Afghan...

btw, these spec-ops teams are from France, Germany, Britain and the USA respectively. They are not "from" Counterstrike...

I think the french and german ones are counter-terrorist/hostage situations stuff. SAS can do most anything. Navy Seals do more combat work, not really hostage situations stuff.

Wrong... Seal Team 6 when under the command of the now famous Captain Richard Marcinko were very active in rescue and counter terrorism..
they devised alot of the tactics still being used in the worldwide Spec Ops community today...

read some of his early work it is based on real events...
now he writes outa his ass and he admists it but the Rogue Warrior book was largely based on fact as well as redcell
we had Seal 6 come on board Forrestal when I was in the Navy in 89 they were going to go after Norriega but were called off when that situation escalated..
middle of the night in 2 Pave Low Helos full of gear offload a bunch of hairy unshaven hippies armed to the teeth.
we were not even allowed to talk to them at all..

Seals do hostage rescue? oh i thought that was the job of the Delta, FBI hostage rescue team. So we got delta, fbi, and seals all doing hostage rescue.

american hostages are safer then ever.. sorta.. i guess....
but yea, SEALS do a lot of things, hostage rescue among them. We also have DELTA, and FBI, and i think perhaps the CIA/NSA may take part as well... Americans take their hostage rescuing such, seriously.

In fact the SAS uses some of our techniques as well...
but im sure they share tactics... so im sure some of our doctrine came from other countries
it would be ignorant to think they wouldnt learn from each other and improve techniques..
That is why we train with and against other friendly nations...
