They're conversation starters. You're talking with a friend, then they see your buddy icon, they say *WTF?*, and ask you what this nekked stuff is. You say *RC5 rule, must put wasted clock cycles to good use, AOL bad use*, then zap their brain and steal their computer.

Easy as that.
