NOt bad, remember that for ~55 shipped you can get the AL ACS54 from staples with a 20/50 coupon. Not a bad compromise.

Ditto to what Redman said. I haven't encountered a problem w/ my FPS2000, SB Live! MP3, and Win2k.

Well yea they work...Creative makes 'em (maybe not literally) so why wouldn't creative speakers work with a creative card?

*Still waiting for a deal on ProMedia's but I don't think it's gonna happen*

Those ProMedia's are wicked, we have some in the office but, I want some for myself. Klipsch needs to drop that price under the 200$ level and I'll be getting some, cause they are wicked.

the buy.com FPS 2000 speakers are 109.75, but its' over 20 pounds so you don't get free s/h. My roomate ordered one from buy.com during one of those $50 over and under 20 pound free shipping deals and his shipping wasn't free. It was $16 something for s/h so the total came out to over $120.

Got the ACS54 by Altec 2 months ago from buy.com for 49 -10 off $30 purchase, -10 cus Reel.com merged with them and I played their trivia and earned a GC, and lets not forget free shipping weekend.
29.99 for 4 pt surround aint bad, eh?

One way to get a fairly decent deal with the Klipsch Promedias is to send yours^H^H^H a 'friend' $250 in flooz, and get the $25 bonus flooz back. Use the $250 to pick up the Klipsch's from outpost for $249.99 delivered, then use the bonus bucks to get some CDRs or a DVD or whatever. Can't find the speakers for cheaper without doing a lot of effort (BFL through somewhere, perhaps?), and at least this way you get a little bonus out of it, right? :)

The Sub houses the amp, but if you want to cut the bass down, there is a knob to adjust that on the sub itself.

The reason I'm asking if I can use the speaker w/o the sub was because I had 2 sets of speakers but only 1 subwoofer. First time I bought it, the sub wasn't working, so I sent back the sub, and they sent me a brand new set (speaker & sub), so now I have 2 sets of speaker w/ only 1 sub. Any suggestion?
