Speakers won't stop clicking/squeaking/buzzing

Speakers are Centrios, rest of rig in sig.

It seems to happen like 25% of the time at random times, sometimes when I play a game, sometimes when I play a movie or music and sometimes when I do nothing at all. The only thing that makes it go away is turning off the speakers.

It's the weirdest sound, kind of like morse code but not so much a beeping sound as a high pitched buzzing sound. Like as if there is something closeby that is interfering with the signal. I can force myself to ignore it most of the time as it comes and goes but what on earth is causing it?

Thanks!

Does the problem happen with headphones or another set of speakers? Are there any other devices near by that may have a radio in it like a cell phone or codless phone?

Often my cell phone so I'll see if keeping it away helps and will report back. Thanks!

Let me guess, you can check your email on your cell phone (Blackberry / iPhone). You notice that after you get done 'computing' that you have received new data on the phone (or even a call). Very annoying at work when someone with a Blackberry steps into my cube and the speakers go nuts every time they receive an email.
