Speakers very close to monitor

I have 2 sets of speakers 2.1 and 5.1. The 2.1 sits very close to my new LCD monitor (less then 10 cm fom monitor and 50cm from computer) due to lack of space. Also, the subwoofer (witch I think is not magnetically shielded) is 60cm from monitor.
Should I be worried?
The 5.1 set used to be on the same table with another LCD and the monitor started to act wierd: everytime would come out of standby, the image would be a little distorted with strange lines for 10 sec., after that everything would go back to normal.
I know that CRTs are affected by magnetical shield, but I want to exclude the idea that the speakers had anything to do with my "disturbed" monitor.

Most of the speakers sold today (with the exception of subwoofers, which should be on the floor anyway) are magnetically shielded, so they shouldn't cause a problem with CRT's. As rod said, with LCD's, it shouldn't be an issue in any case...

Thanks guys for reassuring me.
Do you have any idea why would a LCD act like there was interference?

EDIT - Does strong bass affect the monitor?

Well, the VGA or DVI signal cable could still be affected by the magnetic field of the speakers and the fields created by the wires running to the speakers.

Well, I'm guessing the wires would have to be very thick to create such a field.
Actually, the LCD that seats next to the 5.1 set is acting up since I moved the subwoofer at less than 1/2 meter.
