This has been an irritating problem and I can't figure it out for the life of me.
I recently bought the AudioEngine A2 speakers, and hooked them up to my PC. My sound card is an HT Omega Striker 7.1 and my case is a Corsair 400R.
The issue is that when I hook my headphones up to the front panel, for some reason faint sound still comes from the speakers. If I have music playing through the headphones hooked to the front panel, I still get faint music coming through the speaker as well.
I've checked all settings on the driver, and all connections within the PC but nothing seems to completely mute these speakers. Any thoughts?
Windows 7 64bit, with the below specs. Other things to note, when I boot Windows, there is always a large pop from the speakers (happened with my old sound card as well). Also, when I tried to move the sound card to a different PCI, the system wouldn't boot.
