Speakers "pop" when surfing the web

Don't really know how to explain this problem other than that. Basically, when I'm surfing the web (with my speakers turned on), sometimes when going back or forward in IE, the speakers will make a "popping" sound. Like really quick static. Not sure what's causing this or if anyone else has this problem.

My setup:

Logitech Z 540 speakers
Philips Rhythmic Edge sound card

Check my sig for the rest of my specs if you think they are important.

Any help on this would be appreciated!

LOL. Could it be the sound setting that's set for when you start navigating a folder or web? It makes this click everytime you browse the web. You can turn it off by going to Control Panel, Sound, and changing the setting of Navigation in Explorer to "None". Hope this helps.

That would be my first guess as well.

Well, disabling the "click" sound when surfing the web seemed to have fixed the problem. It was strange, most of the time the sound would play just fine. But sometimes it would "pop" really loud...like real quick feedback.

Oh well, the important thing is that this problem is resolved.

Thanks!
