speakers "pop" upon start

hi all,

i have some klipsch pro media speakers i got a couple of years back. whenever i turn on the switch on the subwoofer (which is the only way to turn on the speakers), there is a loud "pop" sound. it's been doing that since i got them... does anyone know why that happens and if i can eliminate it.

thanks,
chipy

you mean when you first turn them on, it has a single "pop" sound? I think that's fairly normally... my creative labs 5.1 set do that too... I've just lived with it

Does it do that if the volume is turned all the way down? seems like that's normal, I've had speakers do that as well.

thanks for everyone's reply so far.

bassyhead, it does do that even if the speaker volume is set all the way down.

nolove - if it is a grounding issue, which i have no idea what is means, how do i resolve it?

thanks again,
chipy
