Speakers/music on the back deck.....?

What's the "best" way to do this nowdays?

Use Ipod plugged into docking station.
Cons: Need to plug this into the wall socket inside the home.

Wire outdoor speakers and mount to the exterior of home.
Wire these speaking into home stereo.
Stereo is hooked up to Cable TV (music channels, etc)

Sonus hooked to home stereo?

Use smartphone that is hooked to Wifi running in the home?
Use Rapsody, Pandora, Spotify, or local/cloud mp3s to play.
Like the ipod, connect docking station / speakers to the smartphone.
Cons: Need to plug this into the wall socket inside the home.

I would install outdoor speakers and probably run them off the zone 2 output of my AVR. I don't use streaming sources but it could easily be achieved via my HTPC.
