Speakers: Left speaker sounds softer and less vibrant that right...

Hi all,

I have the cheapo Creative Inspire 2400 2.1 speaker set and recently it's been acting up. The right speaker seems fine but the left speaker is a lot softer and the sound is not vibrant at all (i.e. no treble). Anyone knows what could be wrong?

Try unplugging the speaker and plugging it back in. Often the low quality cables they include will have this problem. If that still doesn't work, just jiggle the cable around until it sounds like it should.

I've tried plugging and unplugging, that didn't help. Guess I'll jiggle those sockets a bit and see how it goes. Any better ways?

what sound card are you using? on my TB Santa Cruz, the wave setting (in volume) goes down a little sometimes. Bringing it up to the max really makes the sound go up.
