I turn on my speakers and I don't get any sound, sometimes it will come after several minutes with a "pop". Never had this prob before, just started to happen @ random. What could be the problem?

Sounds like it came unplugged from the soundcard. Or make sure the Control pod is plugged all the way in.

Everything is connected. The speakers just started to die at random taking longer and longer to boot up after I would turn them on from the pod. Its been over an hour now and still no sound. Could it be that the amp inside the sub has died?

Yeah, I've heard the Klipsch dies after awhile, get it RMA'ed.

Just to make sure, you're sure it's your speakers and not your soundcard, right?

(since RMA-ing them is going to be a hassle)

Like headphones always work if plugged in / if you plug in the speakers to a portable cd player or something they still don't work?

Just making sure...you have the promedia 5.1 ultras, and not the GMX series or whatever, right? It said ultra in your title, but the GMX is the one with the "pod" looking controller...

I know the GMX's have had all sorts of trouble. I use the promedia 5.1 ultras and theyve worked perfectly (bought them they day the ultras came out, used em hard ever since).

Yeah, id do whats suggested, make sure all the plugs are working (plug some headphones in) on the soundcard, and if all those work then check the speakers. Maybe if you have another computer, plug em into there?

Not GMX, they are ultras. Soundcard works, have headphones. Speakerss are dead for sure, no hiss when turned on and cranked to max. :s

Can anyone verify that? (...Link?)

I have seen that too now. Go to the klipsch forums, tons of dead amps there for the ultras.
