Hello All,

I am still trying to find someone that makes a set of 5.1 speakers for today's newer motherboards that come with AC97/5.1 sound. Almost everywhere I look I cannot seem to find the right style of connector. Anyone using or have seen 5.1 speakers for on-board 5.1 sound?

Kartman, what type of connector are you referring to?

Good question! I know they are not the RCA-style connector, but the cheesy 'cinche' style connector, or I believe that is what they are called (I could be wrong). You know, the same type of connector you see on the front of your CD-ROM drive.

Kartman, you mean a headphone-type jack? Now you've got me confused

Yes, the headphone jack. Also, I believe most consumer sound cards have a line-in jack. notice these are typically not RCA-style. But, most speaker sets for 5.1 are not of this style.

I guess I could make it easier (NewEgg.com picture):

See the coloful little speaker connectors? NewEgg Photo (See colorful connectors?)
