speakers for my uncle

So my uncles calls me. He wants a new set of speakers. It will be playing for hes laptop onboard sound. He wants to spend ~$100. So I was thinking Logitech z-2300 for $103 or klipsch promedia 2.1s for $150 anyother sugestions. He wants this for MUSIC only. sugestions are great. thanks.

Definitely go with 2.1 instead of 5.1 for music.

I'd try to talk him into the Klipsch since the satellites look like they have better drivers and midrange is very important for music. Newegg has 100+ reviews of each you can point him to.

The z-2300s can be had for as low as $60-ish on sales. I'm not sure if there's a deal right now, but check hot deals.

For $100 I would also check out the Promedia 2.0 set.

If you can increase the budget a bit, yeah Promedia 2.1 or Altec Lansing MX5021.

logitech z4's are nice 2.1 set. i have some nib ones for sale 30 bucks cheaper then what they cost. lmk if u want them

I have the z-2200's and they sound terrific. I'd personally go for the z-2300's (since you can't get the 2200's anymore)
