Speakers for lappy/outdoor use

I've got an older projector that I'll be using for outdoor movie watching on a screen in the backyard. It's going to be hooked up to a laptop via a DVI-HDMI cable. For sound, I'm looking for some decent speakers that I could plug into the laptop and get sound out of. The laptop has a 3.5mm jack in the front so I was wondering if: a) Is there a speaker set that exists that plugs into a 3.5mm jack in the laptop that I can use b) recommend me a decent set.

I'm thinking a 2.1 set would be fine. It'll be outdoors so it's not like I can crank them up anyways. But I'm also looking for a set that's sub $100 (it is for outdoor use primarily so I don't need top notch). TIA

I use a pair of http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...ls_o01_s00_i00 . The sound is quite decent, and I also have an option of getting a 4amp powersupply instead of the current 2am for the sound amplifier, to squeeze out a few more watts of sound. Total cost for this was $50 for speakers (on sale) and $25 for sound amp, so ~$75 total. You might also need some speaker wire, which I didn't have to buy since I had a roll of 16gauge in my closet http://www.amazon.com/RCA-AH1650SN-...id=1342588774&sr=1-7&keywords=speaker+wire+16 , and an audio cable http://www.amazon.com/3-5mm-Male-RC...1342588845&sr=1-15&keywords=3.5mm+audio+cable which I also had.
