speakers for a console

Are there speakers specifically for consoles like a 360? I use my computers sound card line in right now but I will be without a pc for a few weeks so I am curious how I can get sound while using the 360 vga cable. Thanks.

Recommendations for optical speakers? Also will that kind of speaker work with the vga connection or do I need component? Thanks.

Logitech z-680 / z-5500 are some of the more popular computer speakers that have that connection. Computer speakers tend to not have that connection type though.

Receiver based HT systems are normally the kind of systems where that connection is used.

VGA and Component only carry video.

The audio would be a different connection. I don't have a 360 so I'm not totally sure which audio connection types are available with the different video cables.

The vga connection for the 360 actually does have sound cables. I think I will look for some non-optical speakers since I need some new ones anyway and I don't need a ton of speakers, maybe 2 or 3 at the very most.

Most sets are 2.0 or 2.1 before jumping up to 5.1 (unless you're building a system from components... and then you can do whatever you want to)
