Hi all,
I'm not too much into audio, so I was hoping that someone could help me out with this setup question. I recently bought a set of Cambridge SoundWorks speakers with the sub and two satellites. It has two 1/8" ports labelled "Audio 1" and "Audio 2".
When I use them with my computer, I simply plug my soundcards 1/8" speaker jack into the 1/8" "Audio 1" jack with a male/male cable. We're having a picnic and I'd really like to plug these into my portable stereo for the day since the sound it so nice, but I don't know how to hook it up.
The box has 2 rca output jacks labeled Audio Out Left and Audio out Right. How can I get RCA L/R into a 1/8" input? Do they make some sort of adapter? I have a rca splitter (or combiner?) that has 2 female rca jacks and 1 male on the other side. I also have a rca female to 1/8" male.
Could I do this:
Box RCA L Fem -> Male / Male RCA cable \
-> 2 rca fem / 1 rca male Y connector -> RCA Fem / 1/8" male adapter -> spkr
Box RCA R Fem -> Male / Male RCA cable /
...or would I lose the L/R "stereo" channels? If so, what do I need to do to get it working right?
Thanks!
