I just bought a 1998 Chevy Cavalier and I'm looking to upgrade the audio system.
Right now I'm focusing on replacing the factory 6"x9"s and 4"x6"s.
I already have an Aiwa CDC-MP3 H/U and I've been looking at the following speaker choices.
I'd appreciate any help and recommendations you guys could give me.
I primarily listen to Rap/R&B, if that matters. Thanks in advance.

Rear Deck 6"x9" Speakers:

Cerwin-Vega Stealth SS-2693 - 3 Way

Polk EX Series II EX693a - 3 Way

Pioneer TS-A6995 - 4 Way

---------------------------------------------------------------

Front Door 4"x6" Speakers:

Cerwin-Vega Stealth SS-2462P - 2 Way

Polk EX Series II EX462a - 2 Way

Pioneer TS-A4615 - 2 Way

If those are going to be powered off the deck than I think those are fine choices. Demo them in a store and buy the one you like. The speakers I'd recommend require an amp.

Get a 4x50 amp and some pioneers all around matched for the amp output. Those head units only put about 18 watts rms without distortion. Very poor amplifier circuits in AIWA products.

I had a nice jbl 4x50 200 watt amp running my doors and rear and it was awesome.

You will be disappointed if you run any quality speakers off the aiwa amp, actually, you'll probably ruin them by turning up the aiwa power too much and distorting.
