Speaker Recommendations - 3.0

I think I've narrowed my selection to Energy RC-10 and RC-LCR vs. Polk RTI A3 and CSI A6. I'm looking for a 3.0 system (2 bookshelf and center). Any other recommendations for around the $500.00 mark?

Most of the internet brands have options that would be around the $500 mark for three speakers as well.

Can you get out to demo either of those options you mentioned?

Behringer B2030P. You may not even need a center depending on your setup. Energy is a waste of cash. Polk probably isn't much better.

I will have spread out seating, so a center would be useful. What makes you think Energy is a waste of cash?

it's tough to give you any recommendation without knowing what type of sound you are looking for. Do you pref warmer, shrill, or no highs no low sounding like Bose speakers?

Build your own... you probably build your own computers, so with just some basic wood working skill you can have a very very kick ass setup for your dollar.
