So I have these speakers from BB a couple years ago when they were clearancing them out...but the receiver blows. Can i get any old receiver and plug these in?

If so, any recommendations on a cheap (~$200) HDMI receiver?

Do the speakers use standard speaker wire or do they have some type of proprietary plug? In the $200 - $250 price range, take a look at the Onkyo TX-SR506.

For 200 dollars an HDMI receiver will usually not process audio via HDMI unless you get a great deal, more than likely you will need to run a separate SPDIF cable for digital audio. The cheapest receiver that I know of with HDMI audio processing is the Onkyo TX-SR576 which is around $300 most places.

The Pioneer VSX-918V-K has HDMI audio in and 1080p for ~$250. Only two HDMI inputs though.

Yeah they use normal speaker cable, I just wasn't sure if there was any sort of power requirement or something.

I'll take a look at those receivers, but why the hell use HDMI just for video? Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of the cable standard?

Those speakers are 6 ohm, so do the research on whatever receiver you choose to make sure it can do 6 ohm without damage to the speakers or receiver.
