Speaker problems

My speakers would skip whenever I play a song and that is only every so often. I see on my comp says that the song is playing but the song is skipping when coming out of the speakers. But when I would start it over and over after awhile it would work all of a sudden, it would pick random times to mess up.

I somehow doubt that it is a speaker problem. Try upgrading all drivers on your system and downloading all windows updates. Then, reinstall the sound card. Also, try uninstalling and installing the software you use to play music. That problem would be enough for me to format my HDD, but most people keep more sensitive data on their systems than I do.

There is another possibility that you may need to download a codec. Many songs nowadays need certain codec to work, same applies to movies. If you are not having trouble in games or any other applications with your speakers that is my best guess I could do. If you go to www.divx.com and download the new codecs and try that, it may work. If not you may need to search for some more codecs either using yahoo or google. Another than that if you use Windows XP you may experience some problems with Windows Media Player, if you are able to get a new updated version go for that or they may have some patches on the windows or microsoft websites. If this isn't the case you may have a problem with the song, if that is the case you may have downloaded the song and what you have downloaded hasn't completed the file correctly which causes a problem with the playing of the song. I hope this has help you on your way to fix this problem
