Speaker Problem:

The Setup:

Soundcard: Sound Blaster Live!
Speakers: 2 Desktop Stero Harman/Kardan Speakers

The Problem: When I listen to music or gaming, sound comes out of only one channel. When I run the sound card's diagnostics, both the left and right channel report to play off of the right speaker, which is the only speaker sound comes out of usually. This does not seem to be a hardware issue, the speakers have worked perfectly in other computers recently.

Any ideas?

It's a problem with the sound card. Not sure what causes it, but this has happened to me on both the SB Live! and the Audigy. The way I fixed it just recently (happened to me today) was by playing with the sliders in the sound properties (Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Speaker Volume). Not sure what I did but it worked after that.
