Labtec arena 685 surround sound 5.1 speakers.

I installed the drivers that came with it, there WAS sound, then I rebooted and NO SOUND! WTF!?

1) Curse a little
2) Shake the box
3) Make frustrating/annoying faces at the monitor

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers?
Just another thought, maybe you should try just the Windows drivers.

Just the windows drivers? I've uninstalled the drivers now, gotta reboot.

P.S. **** YEAH! First build is all-right! I seriously didn't believe my eyes when CS:S ran, a jump from a GeForce 2 to 2 GeForce 6800GTs is a BIG thing. Plus I scored like 8645 3dmarks wih old drivers.

Funny thing with Windows is they include basic drivers for quite an extensive array of hardware. Basically it adds to the whole "bloatware" of Windows. Don't include the apps when you install the sound card. Most, if not all, creative applications are pretty bad compared to others you can easily get. Oh, Oh three more posts to break 100!!

Yeah, I pretty much noticed the little audio player that came with it was pretty ****. I'm in the process of uninstalling it now.
