Speaker for new Home Theater

The monoprice speakers actually have decent drivers in them, the ones you linked from eBay on the other hand have the smell of "white van" speakers and the reviews I've found while doing some googling are none too favorable.

Not per se, though size helps with bass response (though none really will let you forego the subwoofer) and sometimes better sensitivity/power handling.

I'd personally use the 8" wall version just because it has the best sensitivity (91db). Get a second pair for the center (voice-matching), use the extra as a rear for 6.1. Side surrounds either a third pair or the 6.5" one.

i think i'll get the 6.5" ones since i'll be using 2 10" powered subs
