Speaker feedback from MB...

I have recently upgraded my mobo and am not getting a good bit of feedback from my computer on my speakers even when nothing else is playing. It seems to mirror the cpu usage. I.E. I can hear it "thinking" Anyone have a suggestion on how to troubleshoot?

Get the tin foil ready!

But if you think you're receiving electronic interference from your CPU in your SPU, try a cheap PCI sound card and see if you still get it. Also, if you don't have one lying around, try a set of speakers/headphones first to see if they also make the noise.

This is a very common problem with (especially) integrated audio.

Sometimes a PCI sound card will fix it, sometimes not. I can be the result of a bad electrical ground in your wall socket, crappy power overall, or just bad motherboard design.

Good luck getting rid of your problem! You may need to get a power conditioner or similar device to actually eliminate it.
