How do these compare with the Boston Accoustics 4800?

Are there any other alternatives to BA4800? (They're out of stock in my area, and I don't want to wait online)

BA4800s are worlds ahead of any of the CL/cambridge computer speakers. Its worth the wait, I guarantee it.

You won't get five speaker dolby digital, but I'd rather have four speakers of really good sound rather than five speakers of sub-par sound.

Ugh....no those predate the DTT2500s and are bad bad bad.

The DTT3500s are decent speakers, but even those aren't as good as the BA4800.

Do NOT get the DeskTop Theatre 5.1s. Get at least the DTT2500 or you will sorely regret it.

I wouldn't buy anything from Creative at all. Their speakers are way overpriced. If you want a decent alternative to the 4800s look to Altec or Midiland, personally I'd wait for the BA4800s though.
