Speaker Building 101

Getting ready to build a box for my car. Any tips you want to toss out here would be very much appreciated. -Andy

Know which size and type of enclosure your speakers need.

Use MDF instead of particle board. If a ported box, and you have a SUV or Hatchback, use PNR ports, they really do cut down on port noise.

Im using fosgate 8's and they will be in a sealed box. Just looking for a little clean bass to liven up the lows. Right now i think the box will be .722 cubic feet. -Andy

Keep it quiet in residential neighborhoods after 9 pm.

install some banana plugs. It'll make things a little easier if you have to move the box around alot.... and it looks cooler.
