I am looking for the optical or coaxial digital connector for onboard audio with SPDIF headers on the motherboard.

It doesn't matter to me which board it came from I am just looking for some place selling these. I always thought it was funny when you had a board that had the header onboard, but did not include the adapter. Anyone know where I can find an optical/coaxial digital SPDIF adapter that connects to the onboard headers?

All I could find was that directron.com used to carry this for a Biostar board. They don't have any in stock.

Any ideas?

I know this isn't what you're looking for, but you could get a Chaintech AV-710 that does digital optical out. It comes with a short optical cable too. It's only $25 also. Depending on how much one of these adapters is, it might be easier to just get the Chaintech card.

Yeah I already have a separate sound card in the machine currently (Soundblaster Live 24-bit) but I would like to just remove the pci card for space reasons. I know they exist, so just trying to find a spdif motherboard adapter that connects to the onboard headers.

I believe you need the one designed for your mobo. So you'll probably need to contact MSI, if you're looking for the daughterboard for your Neo4.
