Once again gods spread cheeks and force me to accept further ramming!
Well this kind of sucks. I was hoping for at least 2 more seasons. Can't they at least make it like 12 episodes? This 1 season 10 episode deal is going to suck even worse b/c you don't even know the bad guys yet. This is going to end up basically being it's own mini-series b/c you won't have time to get invested in the baddies.
I guess Batiatus was a great bad guy even during his first season, so it'll probably be OK. Illythia was annoying anyway and needed to go. Ashur ended up being an awesome bad guy after you found out why he was the way he was. They did that a lot including Glabber and Ashur. They were bad but you could understand their reasoning sometimes....everyone $hit on them on conspired against them a lot of the time.
There were some awesome kills (rape face getting the spear, Sedullus face, heads flying) but Ashur's death sucked big time and so did Oenomeus's.
Will we get kick ass Crixus this season or skinny whiny Crixus?
I also think in Season 3 we're going to see some Gannicus and Saxa loving.
The writer also said he wants to talk to his co-writer about a possible spinoff involving Crassus, Ceasar, or even just using the "Spartacus" atmosphere to go a different direction.
