Sparkle OEM psu

Got a celeron 1 ghz pc with one optical drive and one HD. Might add some case fans. I am assuming this psu will do just fine and have heard that sparkle is pretty good:

I am seeing a lot of sparkle oem units...i'm assuming for the price that this is an oem unit. has anyone had any problem with these oem units...it;s too good to be true.

I like that Monarch gives a 90 day warranty but I don't want a bad psu ruining my board oir causing other damage.

I think Sparkle/Forton are the most under rated PSU company.

That will work, but why even get a 250w?

I had a Sparkle 350w that powered a whole lot.

FS/FT thread..

Have no use for my Sparkle 350w PSU anymore. Plain and SIMPLE, it's a BEAST!

Ran the following:

1700+@2.4ghz
2x512 PC 3200
6800GT
2x HDD
2x Optical Drives
2 cold cathodes

Dumped it when I went for my A64 rig.

I agree with bjc 112

I think Fortron/Sparkle power supplys have the best bang for the buck by a country mile...Build quality and design that are second to no other supply manufacturer out there...In my humble opinion of course.

For just a few duckies more you can get THIS 300watt Fortron with the single 120m/m fan.

Saw that one...shipping is $8...sparkle one has free shipping so it's a much better price.

I know that these psu's are great...it's more of the OEM thing I am wondering about

OEM versus Retail...Okay...Usually the warranty is less on OEM packaged items.

You dont get the fancy box either

But almost always there is no difference in the actual device.
