spark plug wires

ok is it necessary to apply dielectric grease to the spark plug boots when you change the plugs? mine had some already in there and i didn't have any, so i didn't put any excess on. I know it keeps the boot from hardening and such, but the car's running fine without any so far. Do i need it?

You really don't need it unless you are going to reuse the wires after removing them.

Just go buy some it's pretty cheap If Memory serves me.

Dielectric grease is used to keep the spark plug boot from bonding to the spark plug. A little dap will do ya, so you should be OK.
