Hey I found a practically free way to slap a 80mm fan on your 6Cu+ and get a free 5 degree (Celsius) reduction in temps. Only the following parts REQUIRED:

-Thermaltake 6CU+
-80mm Case Fan
-80mm Fan Grill
-80mm to 80mm Fan Shroud (Not Required)
-Some Small Nuts and Bolts

This link will be up and down so be sure to check back if you wanna see pics http://68.2.158.208:69/Mod.htm

What do you guys think? It's cheaper then paying for one of those 60mm to 80mm adaptors and just as if not more effective (-:

The link doesn't seem to be working for me, but I've tried attaching an 80mm fan onto my Volcano 6cu before using a simliar method. It worked OK, but when I finally got a real 80mm to 60mm adapter, I found the adapter got me about 2C cooler. The adapter has a funnel like shape and did a better job channeling all the air flow into a tighter pipe. I think this also reduced the "dead zone" just beneath fan motor as well.

URL is functional for a bit check it out (-:

Yeah without some spacing or channeling it wont be AS effective but it is still a cheap alternative to buying an adaptor. I think if someone used longer bolts and extra nuts you could easily space the fan as far as you want off the hsf. You should be able to add an AERO 7 which includes the fan and shroud for like $10.00 and still avoid buying the 60mm to 80mm adaptor with this method (-:
