Spare machine to run S@H

I have a spare K6-3 400&MB sitting around, and also a spare T-Bird 900. The K6-3 machine is missing video card & HD, The T-Bird900 would need a MB, vid card and HD... I have RAM, PSU, NIC, and case...

So basically if anyone wants to donate a crappy 2D video card and maybe a 2GB HD(Need about this size to run Win2K, cant run 98 cause id have to reboot too much and I dont have spare monitors) Im kinda broke, but I can afford a little $ to buy them also. As for the T-Bird that will wait till 760MP comes out and I have some money.

You have a SPARE 900Mhz TBird? I'm absolutely CERTAIN I could find a home for it if it is just 'lying around'!!! 😉

If you want to go as inexpensive as possible, why not just hook up a floppy drive to each of those boards and run Klinux? That way you don't even need a video card or hard drive, and you'll have yourself the beginnings of a true crack rack!! 😀

And if I had to Id prefer to use a HD etc... if I can pick them up for 30-40 bucks or so, then I can use the PC as a firewall too.

Yes, I believe Klinux is RC5 only.

That's true, Klinux is RC5 only, but KW may be working on a SETI version some time in the future.. 🙂 Also, I didn't notice the SETI link in Dulanic's sig, and forgot that I've seen his name many times while doing the SETI stats.. 😱

Someone was playing around with running OGR using Klinux. I don't know if they ever got it working. If they did then it's not RC5 only.😛
