Spamming via pop ups

Will MS eventually create a fix for this method of spamming? I know you can turn it off, but for the people who don't even know how to turn it off, it must be quite irritating.

But....nothing is broken. The only thing that needs to be fixed is the cheapass punks who abuse it. If anything, ISPs should do something to limit broadcast traffic.

Can anyone tell me a useful purpose for the javascript command to open new windows?

You mean those Windows Messenger Service popups?

It is part of the networking compnents of WinXP. Turning it off is easy. But some networks use it for lan messenging so turning it off is not an option.

There is a slim chance a patch will come out to turn it off.
