you clicked on someones compromised myspace page somewhere (sometimes anywhere on the page) which took you to a fake myspace login page which you logged onto (thinking you somehow got logged out) and gave your details away. same as everyone else who gets compromised.

Ok, now see that was helpful.

Stuff like this is why I do not login to anything on someone else's computer, even my friends. I know way too many people who just have no clue and have their computer save all of their (and everyone else's) login information and not have any real protection from malicious software. Then they use Myspace and other crap and would easily get suckered by fake links and other tricks. I'm not paranoid, but people are easily duped online, so I just play it better safe than sorry.

I actually have to thank ATOT, because if it wasn't for people posting blind links (referral links, scam links, and even just people linking to a disgusting picture disguised as something else) I probably wouldn't be conscious about what links I do follow.

Oh, and yeah, OP, I would change your password and check to see if there's any software that was added to your profile (you know how people use extras to put all kinds of stupid crap all over their page).
