quick question about the case: id read that it was a Virginia law...so...does that mean if he just moved, it wouldnt have been a problem?
Agreed. He should have been doing CS, fines, and a little bit of jail time just to further encourage walking the straight&narrow, but 9 years is simply too much for spamming.Originally posted by: usernamemax20charact
9 years for sending spam is stupid. His sentecne should be community service for x thousands of hours and a huge fine or something where he gives back to society. His crime is not in line with other crimes. A murderer, rapist, or robber would probably end up getting less time than what he got. Plus, what is it going to cost tax payers to put him away for 9 years?
I hate spam as much as the next guy/gal, but this punishment doesn't fit the crime.
