Space Rangers 2

So I saw this on the shelf at Fry's. 92% by PC gamer. Sounds great. That's like a Half-Life level score.

This game blows. Like, so hard. The graphics suck, the sound isn't in sync with the characters, and most of the time they don't even speak. It's extremely confusing, offers no tutorial, and seems like a single player version of EVE Online.

I am horribly dissappointed. I should have gotten Prey instead.

Nah, I did the custom installation option and chose not to install DirectX, Adobe, or Starforce.

There was a post and a link to a review for this game on this forum a long time ago and it sounded pretty cool... so the graphics and the sound stink, what about the actual game play? That's all that really matters anyway. Did you even play it through, or just look at the graphics and decide it sucked?

That graphics are very poor, but people were starving for space sims at the time and this met the demand. Now that games like GalCiv2 are out it has a tough time even looking good. It is still fun but the RTS portion of the game is horrific.

The whole game is garbage. I tried and tried to grasp what all the fvckin hype was about. I came to the conclusion that the hype was complete bullsh|te.

GalCiv2 ain't that great either by my estimation... I'm having a really hard time getting interested.

X3 post patching is better than all of the above.

Galciv2 and X3 aren't similar games. If you don't like GalCiv2 you just don't like space strategy games.
