space heater recomendations

Get an electric radiator. They're filled with oil and will heat a 15x15 room for about the cost of a 100w lightbulb. Plus, there's no open flames or red hot coils to cause fires.

i've got one of them, you can't burn yourself on them and they can't burn your house down, i'm not sure where you get the 100w figure though mine pulls 1500w

I thought it used some kind of step up transformer or something. Mine says it only uses 100w on a sticker on the side.

  1. Can't beat these!

My parents have one of those (Comfort Glow, if I'm not mistaken) in their basement and love it. IIRC the one they have doesn't have a fan though, so the heat doesn't circulate very well. edit: Plus it was cheap, local hardware store had it for $130 last week. Installation is a breeze.

I'm interested in the electric radiator the will heat the room for a cost of a 100w bulb!
