Space bar doesn't always turn on my computer.

hiya,

I have a Asus k8s-mx motherboard. I use thw space bar to turn on the computer. Sometimes it won't turn it on though and I'll have to press the power button on the case. Any idea what could make it work only sometimes?? I have a regular ps2 keyboard, 10 years old. It always works in windows. Thanks,

like I said. It ALWAYS works in windows. every key, every time.

I have had experience where if you do a hard power down (hold power switch) the wake on keyboard doesn't work.

I imagine the same thing could be said if there was a power interuption or spike while your computer was off.

Maybe check those out.
