SP3 Standby change

With XP service pack 2 when I selected standby or shut down the computer would turn
itself off after it was done. After installing SP3 standby changed to hibernate and when
I pick hibernate or shut down windows doesn't shut the computer off. I have to tap
the power button manually to turn everything off. Is there any way to reverse this
back to a complete shut down without having to touch the power button ?
