On my C drive (80GB), I've got my Windows files, and all my personal files, and when I installed Service Pack 2, for some reason a couple of folders, one called "75ad8dc4e6533bc14d1e1c9f1399" and the other called "91b165be90a830a815c981ef20e89", appeared on my D drive (also 80GB). They both contain the folder sp2, which contains the folder update, which contains the executeable file called update, and apparently it's a service pack update.
Now, I want to format the D drive so I can install a copy of Fedora core 3, and use dual booting (which I will figure out how to do once I've figured out this issue) to use it. So, I try to format it but apparently these files are either read-only/protected or in use. My guess is the first. So, I make all the folders not read only, but when I check the properties of the files, they aren't read-only, yet they cannot be deleted. I can't see either of them being run in task manager processes.
Basically what I want to know is...how the hell am I supposed to get rid of these files so I can install Fedora?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
